About the Role- Provide 24/7 in-house coverage of the pediatric medical unit, Intermediate Care unit, and consultative services to surgical colleagues.
- Care for both general and medically complex pediatric populations.
- Collaborate with Pediatric Residents, medical students, and APP students in education and mentorship.
- Participate in research, quality improvement projects, and education initiatives.
- Strong communication and coordination skills to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Ability to work effectively with case managers, nurses, and other healthcare staff.
- Excellent patient experience skills and willingness to participate in education initiatives.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends.
Inova L.J. Murphy Children's Hospital is a 226-bed, full-service children's hospital dedicated to providing state-of-the-art technology, research, and teaching innovations in a child-friendly environment. Our Pediatric Hospitalist APPs work alongside Pediatric Residents and are involved in the education of medical students and APP students, with academic appointments for this role.
Located on the Inova Fairfax Medical Campus in Northern Virginia, our diverse patient population brings a wide range of presentations and diagnoses. The qualified applicant will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic team environment, providing expert care to children from birth to young adulthood.
