Senior Refrigeration Mechanic

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Refrigeration Mechanic to join our team at Wakulla Correctional Institution. As a Senior Refrigeration Mechanic, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems, as well as food service equipment.

• Install and repair heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration components and systems
• Perform technical preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, closed loop systems, and electronic/digital air-conditioning control systems
• Diagnose problems with HVAC and closed loop systems
• Perform tasks related to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, food service equipment, and building preventive maintenance
• Prepare reports as directed by the Maintenance Superintendent

• A high school diploma or its equivalent and at least one (1) year of experience in the HVAC Field
• Four or more years of experience in the HVAC Field (College or vocational/technical training in one of the above listed trades can substitute for the required experience)
• A valid Driver's License is also required

• EPA Refrigerant Certification
