We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Women's Health Educator-Garland Women's HC to join our team at Parkland Health & Hospital System. As a member of our team, you will play a critical role in promoting women's health awareness and education, while also supporting the overall mission and vision of our organization.

About the Position

This position is responsible for assessing patient educational needs, developing and implementing health education programs, and evaluating program activities to ensure quality women's health education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement health education programs for women's health services, ensuring that programs are evidence-based and effective.
  • Assess patient educational needs and develop individualized education plans, taking into account patient preferences and learning styles.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and up-to-date information is disseminated to patients and staff.
  • Evaluate and update literature and materials periodically to ensure current information is available.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Services, Public Health, Health Education, or Community Health Education, or equivalent experience.
  • Two years of experience in health education or community outreach programs.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, with ability to pass the Parkland approved Qualified Bilingual Test.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management, demonstrating excellent writing, communication, and public speaking skills.
  • Knowledge of training methods and techniques, including group facilitation, and ability to work independently.

The estimated annual salary for this position is $55,000-$65,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
