Job Title: Service Technician

Accel Entertainment Gaming is seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for servicing, repairing, cleaning, and maintaining Video Gaming Terminals (VGT), Redemption Terminals (RT), Amusement devices/equipment, Automatic Teller Machines (ATM), Marketing devices/equipment, and other associated equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to service appointments in a timely manner, regardless of weather or light conditions.
  • Conduct wellness checks at locations to ensure Accel Entertainment equipment is clean and serviceable.
  • Utilize computer and cell phone applications to perform duties and complete administrative tasks.
  • Clean, inspect, test, and troubleshoot VGTs, RTs, Amusements, Standalone ATMs, and Marketing equipment, performing repairs, adjustments, and/or replacements as necessary.
  • Communicate with Accel Entertainment employees and customers to ensure minimum equipment downtime and an optimal customer experience.
  • Replenish cash cassettes and coins in RTs, ATMs, and change machines.
  • Complete hand pays with cash when required.
  • Safeguard company property by following company policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Manage vehicle inventory to ensure commonly used parts and tools are available when needed.
  • Able to interpret VGT pay lines and rules, and able to explain them to customers.
  • Use hand tools to perform adjustments and/or replace parts on VGTs, RT, Amusement equipment, and Standalone ATMs.
  • Able to use wiring diagrams to aid in troubleshooting VGTs, RTs, Amusement equipment, and Standalone ATMs. Use multimeters, outlet testers, and cable testers to test for continuity and voltage.
  • Follow procedures for parts control and ordering replacement parts.
  • Complete all necessary documentation for device entry and in-house logs.
  • Deliver equipment, funds, and supplies between company locations to other company locations, and customer locations, or to other technicians as needed.
  • Restock amusement supplies as needed.
  • Follow policies and procedures for maintaining company-assigned vehicles.
  • Follow all Accel and IGB policies and procedures.
  • Work full shift in assigned service territory.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Requirements:
  • Experience in Slot machine, VGT, Amusement, ATM service or in a related technical field desired.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Minimum 21 years of age.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Mechanically inclined individual preferred.
  • Some PC or networking skills desired.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move heavy objects.
  • Must be willing to work rotating, on-call, weekend, and evening shifts, including holidays.
  • Must be able to obtain a terminal handler license.
  • Capable of working independently or as part of a team.
  • Has the flexibility and willingness to work in an environment with constantly changing priorities.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
  • Frequently required to stand, bend, stoop, kneel, walk, and sit.
  • Frequently required to drive long distances.
  • Frequently required to utilize hand and finger dexterity.
  • Frequently required to talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to lift/push items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and/or use a keyboard.
  • Exposure to outside weather conditions.
  • The noise level in the work environment usually is moderate.
