The Heavy Equipment Maintenance Specialist at Overland is responsible for overseeing the efficient operation and maintenance of all equipment used by the company.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Manage daily workflow, scheduling, and assignments, including PM technician and fuel and lube truck operations.

**Departmental Operations:**

  • Ensure inventory, storage, and distribution of parts and supplies for efficient operation of the shop.
  • Provide recommendations for the purchase of new equipment to support business growth.
  • Develop and present reports on department operations and expenses to senior management.
  • Establish and enforce procedures, policies, and safety protocols for the department.

**Qualifications and Requirements:**

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree in Business Management or a related field preferred.
  • Five years of experience in shop management with two years in a supervisory role preferred.

**Certifications and Licenses:**

  • Valid driver's license.
  • CDL (A or B) highly preferred.

**Essential Skills and Abilities:**

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of fleet management and operations.
  • Strong managerial and supervisory skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prepare and adhere to a budget and to monitor and reduce expenses.
  • Proficient with MS Office.

**Physical Requirements:**

  • Ability to lift 25 pounds at a time.
  • Ability to access and navigate the yard and all maintenance facilities.
