About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Repair Technician to join our team at Metalsa. As a key member of our production team, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing our industrial machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Routine Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance tasks on production machinery to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns.
  • Troubleshoot and Diagnose Issues: Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues promptly to minimize downtime and optimize productivity.
  • Perform Repairs and Replacements: Replace faulty components and repair metal components and structures using various welding processes.
  • Interpret Technical Schematics: Utilize technical knowledge to interpret schematics and diagrams to facilitate troubleshooting and repair tasks.
  • Maintain Low Voltage Electrical Systems: Repair and maintain low voltage electrical systems, including motors, switches, and controls.
  • Program and Troubleshoot PLCs: Program and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to ensure proper machine function.
  • Collaborate with Production Teams: Work closely with production teams to identify recurring issues and implement preventive measures to improve productivity and efficiency.
  • Adhere to Safety Protocols: Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 3 to 4 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in an automotive manufacturing environment.
  • Skills: Proficiency in various welding processes, including MIG, TIG, and arc welding. Strong understanding of low voltage electrical systems and ability to read schematics. Knowledge of PLCs and experience in programming and troubleshooting. Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including troubleshooting and repair.
  • Personal Qualities: Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
