Financial Counselor

We are seeking a skilled Financial Counselor to join our team at Methodist Hospital Stone Oak. As a Financial Counselor, you will play a critical role in ensuring that patients receive accurate and timely financial information, and that our hospital's revenue cycle is managed efficiently.

• Review and analyze patient financial data to identify areas for improvement
• Communicate with patients and their families to explain financial information and options
• Work with insurance companies and other external agencies to ensure accurate billing and reimbursement
• Develop and implement strategies to improve patient satisfaction and financial outcomes
• Collaborate with other hospital departments to ensure seamless patient flow and efficient use of resources

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. business, finance, healthcare administration)
• 1-2 years of experience in a financial or revenue cycle role
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
