We are seeking top talent to join our Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas team.
The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing professional nursing care and related assistance to patients. This role provides direction to Licensed Vocational Nurses and non-licensed nursing personnel in delivering direct patient care. The successful candidate will support the medical care of patients under the direction of the Medical Staff, aligning with the hospital's mission and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Knows and adheres to the Nurse Practice Act for the State of Texas.
- Provides individualized goal-directed nursing care through comprehensive assessments, making accurate nursing diagnoses and developing effective plans of care.
- Delegates tasks to unlicensed personnel while ensuring patient safety and considering their educational preparation, experience, and abilities.
- Maintains a safe environment for patients and others, accurately administering medications and treatments.
- Ensures required documentation of patient care and unit activities according to established standards.
- Clinically assesses situations where orders or treatment regimens may be inaccurate, non-efficacious, or contraindicated, consulting with licensed practitioners when necessary.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- No prior experience required.
- Current RN license in the State of Texas.
- BLS certification.
- Unit-specific competencies obtained within six months of hire.
