Position Overview
Abacus Technology Corporation is in search of a dedicated Cyber Security Specialist to deliver security and information assurance services for cloud-based solutions. This role focuses on supporting the Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) at Aberdeen Proving Ground.
Key Responsibilities
- Safeguard Azure cloud applications through comprehensive activities including vulnerability scanning, patch management, and cyber security policy development.
- Assist the Information System Security Manager (ISSM-O) in drafting and maintaining essential documentation such as policies, procedures, diagrams, and hardware/software inventories necessary for achieving and sustaining Authorization to Operate (ATO).
- Engage in various cyber security functions, which encompass incident response, risk management framework (RMF) authorization, and compliance with security technical implementation guides (STIGs).
Qualifications
Candidates should possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in cyber security and information assurance, along with a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline. A DoD 8570 IAT Level III certification (CISSP, CASP+ CE, or CISA) is required, as well as a Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate (AZ104) certification or higher. Proficiency in cyber security tools such as ACAS, HBSS/ESS, and eMASS is essential.
Familiarity with the NIST 800 series framework and experience in conducting IT audits, compliance assessments, and implementing security policies are crucial. Candidates must demonstrate expertise in evaluating technical risks and understanding the implications of system configuration changes on security posture.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must be U.S. citizens and possess a current Secret clearance. Selected candidates will undergo a U.S. government security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information.
