As a Lead Forensic Structural Engineer, you will engage in a diverse range of responsibilities, including conducting forensic evaluations of various building types, performing code analysis, reviewing construction documents, analyzing failures, preparing repair scopes, and generating comprehensive reports.
This role primarily involves working on insurance property claims and construction defect litigation. Senior Forensic Engineers have established a robust client base and excel in business development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct forensic field assessments to determine the cause and origin of incidents related to property damage claims and construction or design defects.
2. Evaluate the condition of existing structures for potential buyers, sellers, or tenants.
3. Inspect ongoing construction projects to mitigate future claims and losses.
4. Investigate failures linked to building design or construction to ascertain the cause and origin of incidents.
5. Formulate detailed remediation plans, including scope, timeline, and budget.
6. Create expert investigative reports outlining findings and remediation strategies for management review and client presentations.
7. Plan and implement business development activities, maintaining regular communication with current and prospective clients in the area.
8. Provide expert witness testimony in litigation cases.
9. Assist in training and mentoring junior engineers.
10. Ensure client satisfaction by delivering projects on time and within budget.
11. Execute all assignments with technical expertise, precision, and professionalism.
