POSITION SUMMARY:
Gemini Motor Transport is a leader in fuel transportation across the United States, catering to Love's Travel Stops and various wholesale and retail clients. Our Fuel Transport roles are recognized as some of the finest in the sector. We prioritize achieving the highest safety standards for our dedicated drivers and valued customers.
COMPENSATION & WORK SCHEDULE:
- Flexible availability to work varying shifts based on operational requirements. Standard shifts for this role are Sunday-Thursday Night Shift (with Friday and Saturday off)
- Hourly pay ranges from $27 to $29, influenced by shift and location
- Overtime compensation begins after 40 hours of work per week
- Eligibility for monthly and annual performance bonuses
- ***The first half of the $2,500 sign-on bonus is payable after 90 days; the second half after 180 days of active employment

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Consistently drive defensively and adhere to all relevant laws and regulations to uphold Gemini's reputation as a premier tank carrier.
- Operate company vehicles to load and deliver fuel and other commodities to Love's retail locations and various third-party clients. Gemini operates continuously throughout the year.
- Understand and comply with all federal, state, local, and company regulations regarding the safe operation of hazardous cargo tank vehicles.
- Be knowledgeable about and follow proper loading and unloading procedures for different types of cargo.
- Maintain communication with logistics as necessary.
- Complete electronic logs and all required documentation as mandated by the company.
- Adhere to company standards of professional conduct when interacting with customers, colleagues, vendors, and the public.
DOCUMENTATION REQUIREMENTS:
- All drivers must possess a Commercial Driver's License along with necessary endorsements (HazMat, Tanker, Doubles/Triples) as mandated by law.
- Drivers must pass a physical examination and obtain a Medical Examiner's Certificate as per the requirements of federal regulations.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1-2 years of verifiable over-the-road driving experience or certification from an accredited truck driving school.
- Familiarity with all applicable DOT and Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
SKILLS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Willingness to work flexible shifts as required by business needs.
- Ability to drive for up to 11 hours and work a total of 14 hours while transporting hazardous materials and sitting for extended periods in a truck.
- Must be at least 21 years old and meet qualifications as per federal regulations.
- Proficiency in reading and speaking English as required by federal regulations.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as walking, bending, reaching, pushing, stooping, squatting, and climbing as necessary for vehicle inspections.
- Capability to handle heavy equipment safely during the hooking and dropping processes of tractor/trailer combinations.
- Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
- Normal range of hearing, vision, and smell is required.
