Job Summary:
NYU Langone Health is seeking a skilled Overnight Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at NYU Langone Hospital - Brooklyn. As a key member of our non-invasive cardiology department, you will perform diagnostic medical echocardiogram examinations as requested by physicians, under the supervision of the Director of Non-Invasive Cardiology.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform echocardiograms as ordered by physicians for patients
Conduct scanning procedures using appropriate transducers and settings
Select correct accession numbers for studies to go to PACS/MERGE system
Complete studies in PACS/MERGE system
Use independent judgment in performing echocardiogram examinations
Judge if images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes
Perform efficiently in emergency/crisis situations following established protocols
Maintain a safe environment by implementing technical aseptic practices
Accept direction from supervisor willingly
Foster an environment that promotes teamwork
Check supply levels and keep work areas clean
Alert supervisor to equipment malfunctions
Arrive at work station at scheduled time and be prepared to work
Attend workshops and seminars to increase knowledge and refine skills
Assist physician during transesophageal echos

Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Graduate from an accredited ultrasound school
2+ years of experience preferred
RDCS registered or registry eligible
New grads have 1 year from hire to register as a condition of employment
Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
