We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Accountant to join our team at Wentworth Senior Living. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for reviewing, supporting, and preparing all accounting activities and reports to the Director of Finance.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Management: Handle general ledger reconciliations, manage accounts receivable and payable, and oversee petty cash and credit card audits.
- Accounting Support: Research and code transactions, prepare schedules for audits, assist with financial issues, and support the CFO with accounting projects.
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure timely completion of annual 1099 forms and maintain accurate financial records.
- Communication: Serve as the primary contact for inquiries related to receivables and payables, and foster positive relationships with staff and families.
- Confidentiality and Collaboration: Maintain confidentiality of financial information and collaborate effectively with the team to support organizational goals.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting.
- Proficiency in computer operations, including MS Office suite, and general ledger operations.
- Strong organizational, time management, and attention to detail skills.
