Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist Lead to join our team at St. Luke's Health-Memorial. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient daily operation of the Nuclear Medicine Department, performing nuclear medicine studies, and maintaining patient safety.


Key Responsibilities

As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist Lead, you will:


  • Operate diagnostic equipment and ensure the efficient daily operation of the Nuclear Medicine Department.
  • Perform nuclear medicine studies and produce and digitally archive images under the direction of the Medical Director and Director of Imaging Services.
  • Prepare nuclear medicine suites, coordinate patient flow, and perform quality assurance.
  • Maintain patient safety through attention to detail, equipment safety checks, and adherence to department policies.
  • Provide patient orientation, procedure explanation, and pre and post diagnostic care to completion of test.
  • Assist patients with basic patient care needs and coordinate patient flow and the activities of the nuclear medicine department.
  • Be responsible for the proper maintenance of equipment, accreditation, and departmental performance improvement.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:


  • A graduate degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or Radiologic Technology from an accredited institution.
  • At least two years of related work experience, with a preference for three years of experience in the discipline.
  • Licensure as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) with the Texas Medical Board (TMB).
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - ARRT (N) or CNMT.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
