You will also inspect equipment for damage or failures, perform diagnostic and repair services, fuel equipment, break down and reassemble tires, and remove and replace damaged or defective components.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hostler trucks, vans, and pick-up trucks

• Inspect equipment for damage or failures and perform diagnostic and repair services

• Fuel equipment and perform other tasks as needed

• Clean the shop area and perform stocking functions

Requirements:

• 18 years of age or older

• Valid driver's license

• Previous auto and truck mechanical experience required

• Willing and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions

• Must comply with established safety rules, policies, and procedures, including wearing required safety equipment

Work Environment:

• The Intermodal terminal operates 24 hours per day, 365 days a year.

• This position is unionized and after a 120-day probation period, you will become a union member.

• Employees are subject to a shift change every six months.

Physical Job Requirements:

• Frequent standing, walking, balancing while walking on elevated catwalks, bending, and grasping.
