About the Role

At USAA, we're seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Director, Retirement Income. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading the Retirement Income teams who support USAA members with annuities and other retirement income products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead multiple teams of Retirement Income Specialists who provide appropriate solutions to our members.
  • Analyze existing workflow and processes to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to promote efficient and effective operations.
  • Develop and implement operational plans in Retirement Income areas, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide research and analysis on strategic initiatives and make recommendations to drive business growth and improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, and maintain a strong focus on risk management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • May be required to have the ability to obtain Life/Health license and any required Carrier appointments within 90 days of job entry.
  • RETIREMENT INCOME ONLY: Required maintenance of FINRA Series 7, 66 (or 63 and 65), 24, and 51 (or 53), and/or attainment within 90 days of job entry.
  • 8 or more years of related experience in financial services operations to include process improvement and business analysis.
  • 4 or more years direct team lead or management experience providing coaching, development and/or leadership in a team-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of financial products and services relevant to life or health insurance or retirement income.

USAA offers a competitive salary range of $109,130 - $208,580, depending on experience and location.
