The SharePoint Systems Administrator is tasked with the oversight, configuration, and upkeep of SharePoint servers and sites. This role ensures the seamless operation of SharePoint environments, encompassing user access, permissions, and content management. Collaboration with stakeholders is essential to gather requirements, design and implement solutions, and provide technical assistance. The SharePoint Systems Administrator also monitors system performance, resolves issues, and enforces security protocols to safeguard data. Strong technical expertise in SharePoint administration, server management, and a comprehensive understanding of SharePoint best practices are crucial for success in this role.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables

  • Review, respond to, and remediate site alerts, workflow alerts, and access alerts as necessary.
  • Conduct regular meetings with End User Groups/Site Collection Owners to review and prioritize requested functionalities, updates/changes, and the status of any break/fix items.
  • Maintain specific SharePoint Email Distribution Lists (e.g., Site Collection Owners) and update them regularly.
  • Manage application patching, conduct post-patching smoke-testing, and validate in lower environments and production.
  • Review monthly inventories and take action on unused or abandoned sites/site collections.
  • Regularly review all application logs and trim them to reduce verbosity.
  • Utilize, maintain, and manage third-party applications (e.g., Nintex) and web parts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education / Experience

  • High School Diploma (required) and/or 5 years of experience in SharePoint Administration.
  • Experience with SharePoint 2016 On-Premises is required.
  • Knowledge and application of PowerShell integration scripting.
  • Experience with Power Platform/Power Automate/Power BI Suite desired.
  • Preferred experience with Nintex Workflow and Live Forms.
  • Migrations utilizing Sharegate.
  • Experience migrating from On-Prem to Cloud is a plus.

Skills

  • Administration of SharePoint 2016 On-Premises and SharePoint Online.
  • Management and best practices of Nintex Workflow and Nintex Live Forms.
  • Experience in Site Collection and Site Management Governance.
  • Experience with ShareGate/Sharegate Migration.
