Job Summary

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing inspections and surveillance of complex construction projects. This will involve ensuring contractor compliance with approved plans and specifications for various construction contracts. Key duties will include:

  • Inspection and Surveillance: Perform inspections and surveillance of complex construction projects to ensure contractor compliance with approved plans and specifications.
  • Technical Consultation: Serve as a technical consultant to the contracting office and engineering flight, reviewing plans and specifications for accuracy and completeness.
  • Equipment and Material Inspection: Inspect equipment and materials on construction sites to ensure compliance with specifications and drawings.
  • Documentation: Gather information to compile into written inspection reports and perform related duties.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction inspection practices and procedures, as well as knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and structural aspects of major construction projects. A good understanding of inspection and safety practices and procedures in the construction industry is also essential.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as construction management, engineering, or architecture.
  • 5+ years of experience in construction inspection or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of construction inspection practices and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
