Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, and MRI scans, to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Provide exceptional patient care, ensuring comfort, dignity, and respect for all patients.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of best practices in diagnostic imaging.
- Completion of a two-year AMA-approved program in radiologic technology and current valid New York State license.
- Desirable: AART certification and previous hospital experience.
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient.
- Knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status.
- Minimum A.A.S. degree in Radiology Technology or graduation from a two-year AMA-approved program in Radiologic Technology.
- Current valid New York State license and ARRT certification.
- One year of experience in radiographic procedures at an accredited healthcare facility preferred.
