Job Summary:

The Clinical Nurse Specialist will provide direct clinical patient care and assume responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per shift basis. This role will also supervise staff to ensure appropriate care is delegated and support the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) in ensuring high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and effective resource management related to patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
  • Provide direct clinical care to patients, including administering medications and treatments
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to nursing staff to ensure efficient and effective care delivery
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and services
  • Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes, making adjustments to care plans as needed
  • Support the CNO in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety

Requirements:

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Michigan
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical leadership role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards

Work Environment:

This role will support all facilities in the Tenet Regional Resource Pool as needed.
