Financial Expert

Westamerica Bank is seeking a skilled Financial Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis and a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and consolidate financial reports using various application and PC systems.
• Act as the primary contact and technical resource for assigned area of financial analysis.
• Assist with special projects and the preparation of financial plans.
• Maintain the integrity of assigned financial data bases.
• Recognize, research and resolve discrepancies in financial data.

Requirements:

• 1-2 years' financial analysis work experience, preferably within a financial institution.
• Successful completion of college level coursework in financial analysis and accounting required.
• Bachelor's degree in either field a plus.
• PC proficient and have in-depth working knowledge of spreadsheet software and data management systems.

Physical Demands:

Sitting for extended periods of time utilizing computer keyboard to input data and check reports.

Mental Demands:

Analyze and evaluate data, questions and requests received from clients. Prioritize multiple projects to ensure all users' needs are met within required time frames.

Equipment Used to Perform Functions:

Telephone, PC, printer, calculator, 10-key adding machine.

Decision Making:

Recommend changes to current procedures, reports and software programs to provide more timely and useful information.
