Role Overview:
The Parking Operations Associate is responsible for managing ticket transactions, processing payments, and delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves assisting customers with entry and exit processes, ensuring parking equipment is functional, and providing support such as vehicle jump starts when necessary. Collaboration with team members and management is essential to uphold cash handling protocols and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Issue and collect parking tickets from visitors.
- Direct incoming vehicles to available parking spaces as a traffic controller.
- Conduct vehicle counts throughout the shift to prevent overcapacity.
- Manage traffic flow at entrances and exits, assisting guests in locating their vehicles.
- Support the maintenance and repair of parking equipment and perform general upkeep as directed.
- Match visitor tickets with the parking rate schedule, collect payments, and provide change accurately.
- Complete lost ticket documentation when necessary.
- Reconcile receipts, cash, and charges at the end of each shift, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
- Perform revenue drops according to established procedures.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment around the cashier booth.
- Report any incidents or safety concerns to management promptly.
- Provide respectful and helpful communication to guests regarding their inquiries and issues.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Basic mathematical skills are required.
- Strong customer service and communication abilities.
- Previous experience in customer service is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires the ability to operate small office equipment, stand for extended periods, and work in various environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures.
Working Environment:
Work is conducted both indoors and outdoors for extended periods, subject to weather conditions. While some protection from the elements may be provided, employees should be prepared for temperature fluctuations.
