About the Role:

Gundersen Health System is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing patients' cardiopulmonary status, developing and implementing respiratory care plans, and providing education and training to patients and healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patients' cardiopulmonary status and develop respiratory care plans based on established practice guidelines and protocols.
  • Provide education and training to patients and healthcare providers on respiratory care and disease management.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care and outcomes.
  • Maintain and improve job knowledge and technical skills to provide competent, state-of-the-art respiratory care.

Requirements:

  • Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
  • Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) within two years of hire date.

Work Environment:

This role requires working in a fast-paced healthcare environment, interacting with patients, families, and healthcare teams. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
