Job Overview

Position Summary: We are looking for a skilled Machinist II to effectively set up and operate machinery within our tool shop, conduct necessary calculations, and ensure the production of high-quality tooling.

Essential Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a machine shop environment or relevant training from a Vocational Technical School
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License
  • Proficient understanding of shop mathematics
  • Capability to interpret and comprehend blueprints
  • Ability to lift weights up to 50 pounds

Desirable Skills:

  • No specific preferences indicated

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate machinery and equipment in the tool shop for the purpose of tooling fabrication
  • Execute calculations related to materials, speeds, and feeds during machining processes
  • Employ precision measuring instruments to verify work against specifications
  • Assist in the validation of new and modified tooling designs
  • Maintain and repair existing tooling, perform preventive maintenance, and undertake cleaning and other related tasks as necessary

Compensation: $17.00 to $18.00 per hour
