Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Supply Technician to join our team at the Defense Logistics Agency. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of materials and supplies throughout our depot warehouses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of employees in ensuring work assignments are accomplished and status or problems are communicated to the supervisor.
  • Provide on-the-job training to new employees in accordance with established procedures for the function.
  • Distribute and balance workload and assignments/tasks for team members; provide status and progress of subordinate's work.
  • Respond to customer calls and resolve problems, research receiving problems regarding customer needs, make corrections where possible.
Requirements
  • One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position.
  • Qualifications include: conducting extensive research for required information and/or reconstructing records for complex transactions, independently performing research to troubleshoot processing problems or resolve situations involving frustrated or discrepant material, and developing and executing basic quality control plans to evaluate the accuracy and timeliness of production processes.
Physical Demands and Work Environment

The work requires the incumbent to physically walk the depot warehouses to conduct physical searches and to sit comfortably in an office environment when investigating inventory data. Occasional situations may require climbing ladders, stooping, bending, and lifting up to 40 pounds. The work is performed in both an office and warehouse environment.
