Overview:

The Banquet Server is responsible for the meticulous setup and breakdown of events in accordance with established guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide a warm and professional welcome to guests, adhering to food and beverage policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members to efficiently set up, serve, and dismantle banquet events, utilizing proper food and beverage service techniques.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in executing various banquet functions, including meetings, tastings, receptions, and meals, ensuring an elegant presentation of food and beverages.
  • Respond promptly to supervisors' requests regarding special guests or last-minute event details.
  • Ensure that the event space is fully prepared at least 15 minutes before the function begins.
  • Assist guests with seating arrangements, including chair placement.
  • Deliver immediate and attentive service to guests throughout their dining experience.
  • Maintain a professional appearance by wearing the complete uniform, including nametags, during shifts.
  • Accurately take food orders at designated stations.
  • Refill beverages as requested or according to established guidelines.
  • Utilize appropriate props and linens to enhance food presentation.
  • Return props to their designated storage areas after use.
  • Clear soiled dishes and utensils from all areas, ensuring proper disposal and storage.
  • Complete assigned side work at the end of each shift.
  • Organize and store soiled dishes and utensils appropriately.
  • Report any guest complaints to supervisors immediately.
  • Continuously seek to improve skills in event execution, demonstrating the ability to work independently when necessary.
  • Ensure all countertops are cleaned and sanitized at the end of each shift.
  • Transport linens to designated areas, keeping whites and colors separated.
  • Restock pantries with supplies as needed, following the established par list.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Physical stamina for bending and lifting.
  • Previous serving experience is preferred.
  • Strong attention to cleanliness and detail in service.
  • Guest-oriented approach with patience and professionalism.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanor.
  • Dependable and trustworthy.
  • ServSafe and RAMPS/TIPS certification is required.
  • Flexible availability, including holidays.
  • Availability for mandatory holidays and special events.
