Job Summary

Fishbeck is seeking a talented Civil Engineer to join our team in Toledo, OH and Grand Rapids, MI offices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering for land development and site design, including project management experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead civil site designs for various site development projects and clients, including direct engineering for client projects.
  • Plan and design site development projects, including site layout, grading, stormwater management, and utilities.
  • Work with a multi-discipline team of architects, MEP, and structural engineers on various projects, including higher education, retail, commercial, and industrial.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, and budgets to ensure client expectations are met and projects are on budget.
  • Manage workload and coordination with team members to ensure work is progressing and projects are on schedule.
  • Interact daily with multi-disciplinary teams and multi-office teams within Fishbeck, providing insight and guidance to engineers for land development and site designs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
  • Professional Engineer license in Ohio and/or Michigan
  • 6+ years of relevant experience on civil engineering projects
  • Project management experience, including the development of project scopes, budget management, and successful execution of land development and site design projects
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with teams and clients
