Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Virtual Employee Services (C). As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and efficient dispensing of medications and supplies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist pharmacists in reviewing, processing, and preparing prescriptions for dispensing.
  • Verify patient information, medication orders, and inventory levels to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Communicate with patients, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve medication-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, inventory, and patient interactions.
  • Collaborate with the Inventory Specialist to manage inventory levels, expiration dates, and stock replenishment.
  • Perform quality assurance checks on automated technology and shipping requirements.
  • Ensure a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements:

  • State of Indiana Pharmacy Tech License
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • One year of pharmacy operations or logistics experience
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, brand and generic names of medications, and general pharmacy terminology
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Nationally certified through the PTCB or another approved certifying agency
  • Inventory or logistics control experience
  • Excellent problem-solving and organization skills
  • Ability to work effectively in highly stressful situations
