Job Description

As a key member of the Blach Beverage team, the Delivery Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the safe and timely delivery of our products to customers.

Responsibilities:

  1. Rotate accounts according to rotation policies and remove overage product to prevent it from reaching consumers.
  2. Communicate changes and opportunities in individual accounts and the general market to Pre-Sales Personnel, Route Supervisor, and Area Sales Manager.
  3. Develop a working knowledge of credit, State, and Federal laws and regulations, as well as Company policies related to job duties.
  4. Ensure delivery and merchandising standards are met according to company standards.
  5. Execute pre-planned objectives assigned by Sales Representative for each account.
  6. Direct the activity of a helper if applicable.
  7. Conduct pre-trips and post-trips properly on all equipment used for delivery.
  8. Report any equipment problems encountered during pre-trip, delivery schedule, and post-trip to the Fleet Manager.
  9. Operate equipment safely and keep all equipment, including trucks and trailers, clean.
  10. Complete daily paperwork involving invoices and collections in a neat and understandable manner.
  11. Balance daily paperwork to ensure collections match invoices.

Relationships:

  1. Delivery Supervisor and Delivery Manager

Maintain open communication to ensure awareness of all matters related to assigned accounts, enabling informed decisions regarding service strategies.

  1. Warehouse Manager:

Maintain open communication to promptly report any problems regarding loading, unloading, shortages, and overages in written or verbal form.

  1. Public Relations:

Strive to create and maintain goodwill on behalf of the Company and its brands with retail accounts, supplier representatives, and the public at large.

Physical, Mental, and Environmental Demands:

Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items as needed. Must be able to carry up to 50 lbs and lift up to 170 lbs.
