Admissions Nurse Job Description

Advanced Health Care of Landerhaven is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to fill the Admissions Nurse role. This position requires a strong background in patient care and a passion for delivering exceptional service during the admissions process.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients upon admission to ensure accurate and timely documentation.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and infection control measures.
  • Perform venipuncture and other specimen collection processing as needed, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Provide education to patients and their families regarding their condition and treatment plan, promoting informed decision-making and empowerment.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of vital signs, medical history, and treatment outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care, promoting seamless transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in patient care and medical terminology.
  • Proficient in medical documentation practices and pain management techniques.
  • Experience with skilled nursing care patients preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
