This comprehensive postgraduate program is designed to provide structured specialty training and education for nurse practitioners (NPs) or physician assistants (PAs) in the field of gastroenterology.
About the Program
">The Gastroenterology APP Fellowship program at the Cleveland Clinic in Florida - Weston is a 12-month training program that aims to advance the understanding, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases of the gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary systems. Our curriculum consists of mentored outpatient and inpatient rotations with a collaborative gastroenterology and hepatology practice. The fellow will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced gastroenterologists and APPs, gaining hands-on experience and developing advanced skills in the field.
About the Role
">The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough medical histories, performing complete physical examinations, initiating appropriate lab tests, and scrutinizing lab data to establish a record of the patient's current health status and develop a working diagnosis and treatment plan. They will also perform routine and specialized procedures, prescribe and monitor medications, educate patients, and participate in quality monitoring and improvement initiatives.
About the Qualifications
">To be eligible for this fellowship, candidates must have completed a master's program with degree conferred, national board certification, and licensing in Florida obtained before start date without any restrictions. They must also be able to be credentialed by local hospital Medical Executive Committee and Board of Governors.
