- Engage in Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions and technical reviews as necessary, contributing to the clarification of details.
- Conduct a GAP analysis to pinpoint any deficiencies or gaps in functional and business rules requirements, as well as testing methodologies.
- Continuously design functional and regression test cases to accommodate frequent and rapid changes.
- Implement defined test cases in accordance with MA21 standards to ensure reliability in functional releases.
- Identify and document deficiencies or defects, following escalation protocols to ensure accountability and resolution of issues.
- Participate in defect triage meetings and stand-up calls with stakeholders as required, providing updates on defects and root cause analysis.
- Analyze and triage defects, contributing insights during triage meetings regarding defects and root cause analysis.
- Create clear and concise documentation for all test-related materials (test plans, test case results, test case summaries) following each release.
- Attend necessary project or management meetings.
- Provide assistance on ad-hoc requests as needed.
- Deliver high-quality projects on schedule, adhering to project timelines, including budgetary and time constraints.
- Comply with established procedures under SQA's IT Standard Operating Practices and Procedures, including, but not limited to, Methodology, Templates, and Tools such as MA21 Mainframe, MassForge, Jira, and SharePoint.
- Communicate effectively through emails and MS Teams (chats/meetings).
- Required Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of testing methodologies and techniques for certifying software acceptance.
- Proven ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within project teams, providing relevant system analysis services.
- Strong analytical skills with the capability to independently assess test results, demonstrating confidence in decision-making and recommendations.
- Experience in reviewing the contributions of business analysts and subject matter experts, ensuring well-defined requirements lead to clear functional use cases.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated capability to work independently and collaboratively within project teams, offering relevant system analysis services.
- Proven experience working with Mainframes.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office applications, including MS Project.
- Experience with JIRA or similar project management tracking tools.
- Familiarity with Selenium.
- Experience in automation and executing automated test cases.
- Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, a university degree, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of five years of experience in black-box, white-box, functional, smoke, and regression testing.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Residency in the New England area is preferred.
