Position Overview: As a Float Phlebotomist, you will gain diverse experience while working with various patients, colleagues, and healthcare facilities. Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday, with shifts starting as early as 7:30 AM and concluding as late as 7:00 PM, depending on operational needs. Lunch breaks will vary between 30 minutes to 1 hour based on location.

This is a full-time role, requiring 40 hours of work per week. Hours and locations may fluctuate based on business requirements and management requests.

Coverage Area: This position will involve travel to various locations, including but not limited to Athens, Watkinsville, Elberton, Lexington, Braselton, and Gainesville.

Float Incentive: Enjoy an additional $1.00 per hour, along with mileage reimbursement.

Location: Athens, GA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct blood collections using venipuncture and capillary methods for patients of all ages.
  • Collect specimens for various tests, including drug screenings and paternity tests.
  • Accurately enter patient information in a timely manner.
  • Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
  • Prepare specimens for laboratory testing and analysis.
  • Maintain logs of patient and specimen information.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to all patients.
  • Perform administrative and clerical tasks as required.
  • Travel to additional sites as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred: Phlebotomy certification from an accredited organization.
  • Prior experience as a phlebotomist is advantageous.
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
  • Comfortable working with minimal supervision.
  • Reliable transportation and clean driving record are required.
  • Willingness to work overtime as necessary.
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
