Job Summary

The Critical Care Float Pool Nurse is a vital member of our healthcare team, providing direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act. This role requires a strong foundation in therapeutic communication, patient assessment, and individualized care planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care, utilizing an interdisciplinary approach to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment for all patients.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and achieve the goals of the hospital's mission and vision statement.
  • Float throughout all adult ICUs in the facility, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current TN RN licensure.
  • American Heart Association BLS.
  • ICU, PCU, ENDO, PACU, SDS, PAT, Cath Lab, ED: ACLS required within 6 months.
  • PACU & ED: PALS required within 6 months.
  • ED Nurses: CPI certification training required within 6 months.
