Thew Associates PE-LS, PLLC is a leading land and hydrographic surveying and mapping firm seeking highly motivated CAD Operators to join our team in Canton, Marcy, and Syracuse, New York.

Job Summary

We are looking for skilled CAD Operators to work under the direction of a Land Surveyor to perform a range of drafting duties to support our service areas. The selected candidate(s) will be responsible for creating digital terrain models, processing survey data, and performing boundary line determination.

Responsibilities
  • Perform document research and data processing
  • Create digital terrain models and boundary line determinations
  • Work independently and as part of a team
  • Develop and maintain technical skills, including AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Embrace and learn new technologies
Requirements
  • Preferred A.A.S. in Surveying Technology or B.S. in Surveying Engineering or A.A.S. in Computer Aided Design and Drafting Technology
  • Experience performing document research, processing of survey data, creating digital terrain models, and performing boundary line determination
  • Excellent computer and technical skills; including AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience with MicroStation is a plus
  • Valid driver's license
