Job Summary

The Inter-Company Parts Shuttle Driver plays a critical role in the transportation of parts between JX Truck Center branches and the Paccar warehouse. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent driving skills, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport parts between JX Truck Center branches and the Paccar warehouse
  • Load and unload cargo from trucks, using power equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks as needed
  • Perform pre-trip inspections of vehicles, trailers, and cargo to ensure mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order
  • Inspect bill of lading for accuracy and completeness
  • Deliver product from the Distribution Center to Peterbilt branch locations, adhering to commercial driving regulations and safety guidelines
  • Unload product from trucks to docks, inspecting cargo and completing required documentation
  • Maintain driver logs according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipts and exceptions
  • Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to vehicles as required
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Minimum three years experience driving tractor trailers required
  • Valid drivers license required; CDL required
  • Ability to adhere to established safe driving guidelines
  • Ability to use equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to load trucks
  • Ability to perform all tasks in a safe manner, following all safety rules and guidelines
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 years experience as a Truck Driver
  • CDL
