POSITION: RADIOLOGY TECHNOLOGIST

EMPLOYER: Nitelines USA, Inc.

STATUS: Part-Time / PRN

HOURS: 40 Hours per week

SCHEDULE: Between 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday - Friday, excluding federal holidays

EQUIPMENT: Proficient in operating x-ray machinery including GE Medical Systems, Model Number ALO1C, GE Centricity CR SP1001, and Kodak Dryview 8100 Laser imager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Ability to execute all radiological procedures independently without technical assistance.
  2. Current certification in the relevant field allowing practice as a Radiology Technician.
  3. A minimum of one (1) year of experience in a clinical radiology environment.
  4. Provision of documentation or certification (copies of diplomas and/or certificates) validating the ability to perform Radiology Technician services.
  5. Current CPR certification in accordance with the American Heart Association standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct routine radiologic examinations as requested by medical personnel.
  • Assess radiographic equipment for necessary calibrations and repairs.
  • Possess awareness of potential emergency situations during specialized radiographic procedures.
  • Organize examination schedules and maintain accurate records.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of various pathological conditions as evidenced by radiographic imaging.
  • Independently determine and select technical exposure factors and positions to achieve optimal diagnostic quality.
  • Perform all types of radiographic procedures, including chest, bone, skull, spine, and portable x-rays, as well as upper GI procedures and barium enemas.
  • Alert the Radiologist or referring Physician of any preliminary abnormalities observed during examinations.
  • Facilitate the transfer of patient radiologic records to ensure seamless continuity of care.
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Director to complete monitoring and evaluation activities.
  • Serve as a liaison between the radiologist and medical staff.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of medical protocols.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and wear protective clothing while following CDC universal precautions.
  • Perform additional duties associated with the role of a Radiology Technician.
  • Manage the computerization and printing of daily logs and exam requisitions.
  • Ensure proper labeling of folders and exams.
  • Complete all x-ray studies as ordered by medical staff.
  • Prepare x-rays for submission to the radiologist for interpretation.
  • Transport x-rays to and from the radiologist.
  • Assist staff in maintaining equipment and supplies, notifying when replenishment is necessary.
  • Conduct quality assurance tests and perform daily maintenance on x-ray equipment as required.
  • Support FDA inspections and preparation for program reviews as needed.
  • Ensure all x-ray requests are accurately completed.
  • Manage the computerization of patient logs and repeat analysis.
