Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Water Treatment Systems Specialist to join our team at Veolia Water Technologies & Solutions. As part of this mission-critical role, you will be responsible for providing commissioning, operations, and maintenance expertise on water treatment systems for customers across various locations.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have excellent mechanical, process, and electrical knowledge as well as exceptional problem-solving skills. This role involves working on a variety of technologies including clarification, media filtration, softening, reverse osmosis (RO), ion exchange (IX), and ultrafiltration (UF).

Responsibilities

This role includes:
  • Providing technical direction and inspections for rebuild projects and extended scope projects;
  • Verifying installation is as per Veolia's drawings;
  • Commissioning equipment such as mixers, valves, air compressors, process pumps, blowers, and instrumentation;
  • Assisting clients with installing filter media;
  • Completing detailed controls testing to ensure the system is functioning as per design;
  • Training clients on plant operation;
  • Meeting with clients and Veolia to communicate schedules and address issues as necessary;
  • Operating, monitoring, and optimizing equipment performance;
  • Installing/replacing and/or supervising the replacement of proposed equipment;
  • Installing, monitoring, maintaining, and calibrating chemical injection systems;
  • Carrying out process, mechanical, electrical, and controls troubleshooting on equipment;
  • Creating and maintaining site paperwork and providing customers with detailed technical summaries of work performed.

Salary Information

We offer a competitive salary range of $25-$35.33 an hour, depending on experience. Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Excellent mechanical, process, and electrical know-how and problem-solving skills;
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent and 2+ years' experience in service/maintenance or equivalent in an industrial environment;
  • A technical degree in Science/Engineering or technical certificate;
  • Water/Wastewater Treatment Experience;
  • Ability to travel extensively;
  • Ability to gain and maintain access to sites as assigned;
  • A valid Driver's License.
