Job Summary

The Housekeeping Director is responsible for overseeing the housekeeping and laundry departments at SNF Rehab & Healthcare. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills to manage staff, maintain a clean and safe environment, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Department Management: Plan, develop, and implement programs and activities for the housekeeping and laundry departments.
  • Staff Supervision: Schedule work, regulate flow, and handle disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Performance Evaluation: Review and evaluate staff performance, providing feedback and counseling as necessary.
  • Training and Development: Participate in and plan in-service programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
  • Budgeting and Cost Control: Assume responsibility for budget planning and cost control of the housekeeping and laundry departments.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure the facility adheres to safety, health, fire, and sanitation codes, and is familiar with current MSDS.
  • Customer Service: Provide high-quality service to residents and families in a caring and compassionate atmosphere.
Requirements
  • Education: High school degree or equivalent, with supervisory experience and knowledge of housekeeping and laundry operations.
  • Skills: Good organizational skills, knowledge of budget preparation, strong verbal and written communication skills, and ability to interact positively with staff, residents, and families.
