Job Summary

The Staff Level I Physical Therapist is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for evaluating, treating, and discharging patients referred for physical therapy services. As an integral healthcare provider, you will work closely with other healthcare professionals to coordinate treatment plans and care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive therapy evaluations, treatment planning, and interventions for patients in acute care, skilled facility, acute rehab, and outpatient settings.
  • Participate in student education and training, sharing your expertise with novice clinicians.
  • Develop and deliver treatment programs that help clients/patients recover and rehabilitate, utilizing evidence-based practices and tools.
  • Record and document clients/patients' health progress information, including daily treatments, progress notes, evaluations, and discharge summaries.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of our healthcare team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Program.
  • 0-2 years of clinical practice experience, with 1 year preferred.
  • Valid state license in Physical Therapy.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including a Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI fingerprint-based federal criminal records check.
  • Covid Vaccination is a requirement for employment at Jefferson for employees working at Jefferson's clinical entities or at the University.
