About the Role:

This role requires a high level of skill and expertise in nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care. As a Registered Nurse at Mayo Clinic, you will work closely with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients. You will also have opportunities to participate in quality improvement efforts and take on leadership roles.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care
• Function within the Nursing Professional Practice Model, planning, implementing, evaluating, and communicating all phases of nursing care for assigned patients
• Provide leadership through preceptor roles, informal leadership, and quality improvement efforts

Requirements:

• Student or Graduate of a nursing program
• Current RN license by applicable state requirements
• Maintains current Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers from one of the following programs: American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
