Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist 1 to join our team at the Public Health Trust of Dade Co. This is a part-time position with benefits, working evenings in our Radiology department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate radiological equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images
  • Assist radiologists and medical specialists in performing fluoroscopic procedures
  • Position patients and take radiographs following fluoroscopic examinations
  • Adjust equipment and position patients for x-ray examinations
  • Provide radiation protection and maintain a safe working environment
  • Compute technical factors to produce radiographs of proper detail, density, and contrast
  • Transport patients to and from holding areas or other assigned areas
  • Operate portable x-ray equipment and perform chest or other examinations at the bedside
  • Assist with patient care and initiate life-supporting measures as needed
Requirements
  • Valid Florida state license as a Radiology Technologist
  • ARRT Certification (obtained within 6 months of hire for employees with external training)
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification
  • Associate's degree in Radiology Technology
Working Conditions

This position requires extended standing or walking, and the ability to lift or move objects weighing 51-100 pounds with the use of appropriate devices. The job function is subject to inside environmental conditions, with occasional outdoor exposures.
