Job Summary

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our Pediatric Pharmacy team. As a Pharmacy Technician in Pediatrics, you will play a critical role in the preparation, distribution, and control of sterile and non-sterile oral and injectable medications, including specialty medications.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and distribute medications to patients in a timely and accurate manner
  • Participate in departmental programs and initiatives to improve patient care and safety
  • Work collaboratively with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of medication preparation and distribution
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Current California Pharmacy Technician license in good standing
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently
  • Adequate computer skills to complete assigned projects and tasks
  • Ability to rotate shifts, alternate weekends, and rotate throughout any areas requiring Pharmacy Technician
Working Conditions

Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, occasional sitting, pushing, and pulling. Ability to lift materials up to 40 pounds for distances of 10 feet. Sufficient mobility to access equipment, patients, and other customers. Ability to read information on medication labels.
