We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Solid Waste Collector to join our team at Kansas Employer. As a Solid Waste Collector, you will be responsible for performing a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled work in the collection of solid waste. This includes operating a variety of equipment, such as pickup trucks and trailers, to collect recyclable and solid waste from residents and transport it to a final destination.

• Collect and transport solid waste and recyclables from designated routes
• Operate a pickup truck and trailer to collect and transport waste
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on assigned equipment
• Respond to complaints and resolve issues at the curb
• Work safely and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, and the general public

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum six months experience with physical labor
• Valid driver's license and meet insurability standards under fleet insurance policy
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and perform heavy manual tasks for extended periods

• Minimum six months experience in the operation of trucks and other light automotive and non-automotive equipment
