We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Unit team at LewisGale Hospital Montgomery. Responsibilities- Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift as scheduled and/or as needed, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account the unique needs and goals of each patient.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, monitoring patient response and adjusting care plans as needed.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, empowering them to take an active role in their care and recovery.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices that enhance patient care and safety.
- Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma required; Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
- Less than 1 year of applicable experience required.
- Current licensure as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and other certifications preferred.
