Senior Mechanical Engineer

Strategic Energy Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our design and engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and engineering Plumbing, HVAC, and Fire Protection systems to ensure safe, reliable, and energy-efficient operation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop design criteria and equipment selection for construction documents
• Develop specifications, working drawings, instructions, and other related documents for multiple complex projects
• Analyze complex design problems and develop new or improved techniques or procedures
• Consult with construction personnel on design constructability issues
• Provide construction phase services, including shop drawing review, RFIs, field observation, and punch lists
• Prepare design narratives, technical studies, condition assessments, and field investigations
• Monitor project progress for technical accuracy and adherence to schedule and budget
• Develop opinions of probable construction costs, factoring in size and complexity
• Plan, schedule, coordinate, and oversee the work of junior engineers and designers
• Plan, organize, and supervise design engineering activities for significant projects or multiple moderate-sized projects
• Resolve mechanical planning issues and develop effective solutions
• Maintain product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations
• Maintain project databases and provide coaching to junior and senior team members
• Lead groups of engineers and designers on projects and contribute to project milestones

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience in engineering and designing/coordinating Plumbing, HVAC, and Fire Protection systems
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and HVAC load calculation software
• Experience in initiating and following through with coordination aspects of all design disciplines
• Team-oriented problem-solving skills and decision-making ability
• The ability to prioritize tasks, be detail-oriented, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and flexible
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills
• Professional Engineer License
• Minimum 10 years' experience specific to building system design and construction
