We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Firmware Engineer to join our team at Gradient. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a vital role in designing and developing cutting-edge firmware for our innovative products.

About the Role:
  • Lead the design of various firmware modules, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive product development forward.
  • Participate in defining product roadmap requirements, ensuring seamless integration with business and product teams.
  • Collaborate with Electrical Engineering team members to implement firmware controlling low- and high-voltage electronics.
  • Work closely with Thermal Engineering team members to develop embedded algorithms enhancing system performance.
  • Support manufacturing test improvements and mentor junior developers on best practices.
About You:
  • You possess expert-level knowledge of Embedded C programming language.
  • With 5+ years of experience in firmware development, you have a proven track record of shipping high-quality electronics and software in production environments.
  • Your proficiency in communication protocols such as UART, SPI, and I2C is exceptional.
  • You have excellent debugging skills and familiarity with common debugging tools like JTAG.
  • A Computer Engineering/Computer Science degree or equivalent is a must.
Bonus Qualifications:
  • Experience with AWS IoT Core and related services is a plus.
  • Shipping 1 or more IoT consumer products has given you valuable insights.
  • Working with wireless communication SoCs, especially WiFi and BLE, would be an asset.
  • Proficiency in Altium or similar ECAD software is desired.
