Role Summary
Under the direct supervision of the surgeon and the circulating nurse, and with guidance from the Assistant Managers, OR Manager, Director of Surgical Services, and Vice President of Patient Care Services, the Operating Room Technician plays a vital role in the care and preparation of surgical patients. This professional is responsible for managing the instruments, supplies, and equipment essential during surgical procedures. The technician must possess a comprehensive understanding of the surgical process and anticipate the surgeon's needs, ensuring quality patient care and maintaining a sterile environment throughout the operation.
Job Details and Requirements
Sign-on Bonus: Up to $20,000 (subject to eligibility)
Type: Full Time (80 hours per 2-week pay period, with benefits)
Typical Hours: Day Shift, on-call rotation
Education:
High School Diploma – required
Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program – preferred
Certifications:
BLS Certification – required
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – preferred
Experience:
Prior experience in a Surgical Technician role or completion of a surgical tech training course – required
