Essential Skills

Procedures and Equipment
  • Types of Surgeries: Involvement in General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Neurosurgery, GYN, Plastics, Robotic-assisted procedures, and Cardiovascular Surgery.

Work Schedule
  • Hours: Commitment to 36-40 hours per week with a structured call rotation.
  • Floating Policy: This position does not require floating to other units.
Unit Information
  • Unit Name: Surgery
  • Unit Capacity: Equipped with 9 OR suites, 1 GU suite, and 3 Women's OR suites.
  • Staffing: The unit is staffed by RNs and ORTs.
  • Documentation: Utilization of Meditech for documentation purposes.
  • Dress Code: Scrubs will be provided for all staff.
  • Policies: Adherence to unit-specific guidelines and policies is required.
  • Awards: Recognition of outstanding departmental achievements will be highlighted.
  • Additional Information: The unit may offer new technology and equipment, along with a team of experienced professionals.
