Position Overview:
A clinic located in Newport Beach is actively seeking a dedicated and empathetic family medicine physician to take on a leadership role as the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) within a collaborative outpatient setting. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of five years of clinical experience, prioritize evidence-based medical practices, and be adept at treating patients across all age groups. This position entails leading and collaborating with a comprehensive team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, mid-level providers, and nursing staff.
Essential Qualifications:
- Valid California medical license (MD or DO)
- Completion of an accredited residency program
- Board certification or eligibility in family medicine
- California DEA certificate prior to employment commencement
- Current CPR certification
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct primary care services to patients of all ages
- Contribute to the formulation of clinic protocols and procedures to uphold high standards of medical care
- Engage in utilization and peer review initiatives to assess the quality of medical services provided
- Supervise and offer guidance to physician assistants and nurse practitioners
- Provide consultation services to fellow practitioners as needed
